About us

My name is Henré ("hun-ray"). I am an actuary by training but a padel addict by calling. I started playing padel shortly after my 40th birthday in 2023 and while I am very much a recreational player, I wanted to play some part in the development of the sport in South Africa. And thus, Padel Things was born. For a start, I am doing our best to get good, dependable equipment into the hands and onto the feet of recreational and more serious players alike, but I have ambitions to contribute to the development of padel through sponsorships, development programmes, tournaments and more in the coming years. If you would like to chat about anything padel, please reach out on henre@padelthings.co.za, or better yet, organise a padel game somewhere around Pretoria/Midrand/Sandton and add me, I will gladly bring along a demo racket, accessories or shoes for you to try on.
